Two missing Indians killed in Kenya; Indications are that the Kenyan police are behind it

Nairobi: Two missing Indians in Kenya were reportedly killed by a special unit of the state police. Two IT employees who went missing two months ago were killed by the DCI unit of the police. Former COO of Balaji Telefilms Zulfiqar Khan and his friend Muhammad Saeed were killed. They went missing from a club in Nairobi last July.

Khan and Saeed were in Kenya to join the Information and Communications Technology team for President William Ruto’s election campaign. But it is reported that they were killed by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officials. President Ruto disbanded the DCI unit after the incident became controversial. Dennis Itumbi, a supporter of Ruto and a Kenyan journalist, announced this. His response was through a Facebook post.

CCTV footage shows that while Khan and Saeed were traveling in Kabul, they were intercepted by DCI unit officials and taken away. The cab driver was also abducted among them. Three days after they were killed, the bodies were taken 150 kilometers away from Nairobi and dumped. The DCI group had targeted Ruto’s supporters in the country. The DCI unit used to kidnap such people and then kill them. This is because of opposition to President Ruto. This is believed to be the reason behind the murders of Khan and Saeed. The investigation into the incident is in progress.
