Two MPs jailed for kicking a pregnant MP. Incident in Parliament

The budget was presented in the parliament of the West African country of Senegal on the first of December.

Then the argument between the ruling party and opposition party members over the budget turned violent.

Amy Ndiaye, a woman MP from the ruling party, and Massata Samb, an MP from the opposition party. Plaar slapped him on the cheek.

Enraged by this, Amy throws a chair at Masata. Then Masata and another opposition MP, Mamadou Niang, kicked Amy in the stomach.

Amy was reportedly pregnant at the time of the incident. In this situation, Amy filed a case against her fellow MPs who attacked her indiscriminately.

While the trial was ongoing in the country’s capital, Dhaka Court, during the final hearing on Tuesday, the court declared Masata and Niang guilty, saying that the charges against them had been proved beyond doubt.

At that time, the lawyer appearing on behalf of Amy urged the judges to sentence both the accused to 2 years in prison. However, the judges refused to accept it and sentenced both of them to 6 months imprisonment.
