The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) moved to San Miguel to issue two arrest warrants against two people accused of allegedly committing the crime of sexual exploitation.

“In its commitment to prevent and eradicate the crime of human trafficking, the FGR issued two arrest warrants against people accused of sexual exploitation, which have been carried out in coordination with the PNC,” said the FGR.

The accused are: Rafael Enrique Buendía Arenivar and Xiomara Carolina Martínez, who, according to investigations, both own a bar in San Miguel and, through social networks, offered job openings for young ladies.

“In 2023, one of the victims came to the place because she needed work, but she was raped, sexually exploited, she was not paid and she was not allowed to leave the place,” the FGR detailed.

“In addition, a search was carried out at the establishment where the victims were sexually exploited, seizing sufficient evidence linking the accused to the events attributed to them,” the FGR added.
