We started doing the magazine as a monthly zine, with a few subscribers who were family and friends. With that little money, we would print it and break even. We were going with the car to distribute it. We later extended the periodicity to reduce printing costs. Now we finance a magazine with what we earn from the previous one.
As alumni, the UdG must have helped them.
The relationship with the UdG is complicated, it is a very big institution and, therefore, inflexible. They have helped us in the sense that they have been buyers of the magazine, but we have opened doors for them that perhaps they should have opened for us. As students at the UdG, we didn’t even know about the Coma Cros cultural space or the business incubator. When we had already finished studying, we organized a day with Cultural Communication students, so that they would not find themselves helpless like us at the end of their studies. In the end, we weren’t even paid for the talk.
They shouldn’t consider it work.
When they saw that the magazine was working a little, we had the feeling that they wanted to capitalize on it. Before it was the opposite, we never received any aid from the UdG, not even a space.
Is humor the best form of criticism?

Should humor have limits?
Freedom of expression must be transversal. This involves consuming things you don’t like. In the magazine we have a very clear editorial line, but if somewhere there is another magazine with the same purpose but in the political antipodes, we have to accept it as a freedom.
