A miracle recently occurred in California, United States, when two sailors, along with their faithful canine companion, were rescued, safe and sound, after a voracious fire completely consumed the boat they were on.

The incident occurred in San Francisco Bay off Westpoint Harbor in Redwood City at approximately 1 p.m. Monday.

The San Francisco Fire Department quickly responded with one of its rescue boats, battling the flames engulfing the 45-foot vessel, named Lucid Dream.

According to a statement issued by local authorities, it was the United States Coast Guard and a good Samaritan boat that managed to rescue the two occupants of the burning boat.

Vicki Topp, owner of the Lucid Dream and a Big Sur resident, told the media how she, another person and a dog were rescued by the Coast Guard and Redwood City Firefighters in an operation that combined efforts on land and sea to ensure their physical safety.

Meanwhile, Coast Guard Petty Officer Ryan Graves said the Bayliner was completely sunk when the Coast Guard helicopter arrived on the scene.

However, thanks to the quick action of the good Samaritan, the use of the helicopter was not necessary.
