Syli National records the departure of two of its players from the rally due to injuries. Moriba Kourouma and Facinet Conté left the Guinean national team on Monday January 29 for Europe to undergo extensive medical examinations. As a result, they will not be able to participate in the round of 16 match against Equatorial Guinea, and their return to the field remains uncertain for the moment.

After the qualification of Syli National in the quarter-finals of CAN 2023, the two players made the decision to withdraw from the national team gathering in Ivory Coast. A press release published on Monday, January 29 on the Facebook page of the Guinean Football Federation confirmed the departure of Facinet Conté and Moriba Kourouma, specifying that they received authorization to leave the gathering for additional medical examinations in Europe. The press release also indicates that their return is planned before the quarter-final against the DRC, which will take place next Friday.

The other injured, Abdoulaye Touré, absent during Guinea’s last two matches in this African Cup of Nations, remained with the team in Abidjan. The FGF (Guinean Football Federation) informs that the Guinean midfielder is following an individualized program in order to recover from his thigh injury.
