In the United States, two law enforcement officers were injured in gunfire near a police station in Doral, Florida. This was announced on Friday, October 22, by CNN, citing spokesman for the local police, Ray Valdez.

According to him, there was a quarrel between two men near the police building. Soon one of its participants tried to hide in a car. As Valdez clarified, a police officer tried to stop him when he lost control of the car. Then the suspect got out of the car and immediately started shooting at the law enforcement officer.

One of the policemen had cuts on the face, but it is unclear whether they were inflicted by means of a firearm or whether the police officer was wounded by fragments of his windshield, which were scattered during the shooting.

Another was wounded in the chest, but was wearing a bulletproof vest and had injuries to his arms and legs. The injured law enforcement officers were hospitalized.

As a result of the shootout, the man who opened fire was killed.

An investigation is underway. Details of the causes of the incident are not provided.

On October 16, at least three young men were seriously injured when shooting at a Halloween party in a house in Whittier, California. An unknown person fired into a crowd of people who were standing near the house where the party was taking place.
