According to volunteers, citizens of Belarus have difficulties with evacuation from Israel.

Israeli policeman, Senior Sgt Vital Karasik lived in the city of Ashkelon. The 38-year-old native of Mogilev worked as an investigator in the forensic department of the Israeli police.
During his service in the Israeli army, Vitali Karasik was a tank driver and medic, participated in the military conflict between Israel and Lebanon. After that, he went to serve in the police.
On October 7, Vital worked as a security guard for the Supernova Sukkot Gathering music festival on the border with the Gaza Strip. Just then, Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, Vital died in the battle with the attackers, along with 37 other festival guards and more than 260 participants.
Elena Ostapenko, Israel Police Sgt. Alena moved to Israel from Rechitsa with her mother and sister back in 2000, when she was only two years old. The 25-year-old girl lived in the south of Israel, in the city of Ashkelon.

According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, as a result of the attack on Israel, at least three citizens of Belarus were injured: a mother and son were injured in Ashkelon, the woman’s condition is assessed as serious, her son received minor injuries. Another Belarusian was injured while descending into the bomb shelter. Medics have already helped her. Other details are unknown.

According to the representative of the People’s Embassy of Belarusians in Israel Alexander Fruman, now many Belarusians cannot fly out of Israel. At the same time, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs distanced itself from the problem.
“We received more than 10 appeals from Belarusians asking for evacuation, Lukashenka’s embassy told them, they say, the airport is working, fly out yourself. And the prices are hellish, because many tourists are trying to leave, non-citizens of Israel are leaving. All airlines have canceled their flights, so the price of tickets has increased several times. We are working out various options to find tickets for Belarusians on evacuation flights of other countries, because Poland has such flights, Denmark does. Of course, for them, their citizens are the first priority, but we are trying to find places. In fact, we are replacing Lukashenka’s embassy, which simply abandoned its citizens,” says Aleksandar.

Usually in Israel, those who died are reported in great detail. But now there are 1,300 of them, the war is going on, so there is no emphasis on it. What happened cannot be imagined even in a nightmare, so it is very difficult to find information about people,” says Aleksandar.

“The arrival time of a rocket from the Gaza Strip is very short. When I arrived in Ashkelon, I simply did not recognize it: the prosperous city turned into a ghost. There has never been such a number of shellings. I took my mother-in-law out of Ashkelon. However, on the territory of Israel, the military has already taken control of all points, now they are taking control of the border and preparing for a ground operation. If earlier there were military actions against Hamas commanders, now everything related to Hamas will be destroyed. All right, left, people of all political persuasions united to save the nation. 300,000 people joined the army in 48 hours. I want to get there myself, but there are no places. There are 1.5 reservists for one place, there are traffic jams to go to the war,” says Alexander Fruman.
In Israel, a strong volunteer movement arose as a result of the war, people buy products and things for the army.
“Just in the hypermarket, you see the same products in carts that people take to the military. Everyone has consolidated and wants to help. Near my house, the neighbors put a big box with the inscription “To the Israeli military”, where they collect things. People drive their cars to the border of the combat zone and deliver things and food for the military,” says Alexander Fruman.
About 8,000 people were evacuated from cities and kibbutzim (rural communities. — RS) on the border with the Gaza Strip, and they are also being helped to settle down.
