Two Quebecers suffered serious injuries following the explosion of their pleasure boat in Florida.

Restaurateur Éric Luksenberg and his wife are still hospitalized, two weeks after the enigmatic incident.

Indeed, on March 4, their boat exploded in broad daylight, for a reason that remains unexplained.

The couple were in Hallandale, near Fort Lauderdale, when the blast occurred while refueling the boat.

Reached by TVA Nouvelles on Saturday, the couple’s two children remain deeply shaken by this event. They claim to be very worried about

Mr. Luksenberg suffered burns to his legs while his wife suffered burns to a larger part of her body.

Éric Luksenberg also suffered from discomfort and had to be transferred to a hospital center in Florida other than that of his spouse. Both would still be unconscious.

A police investigation has been opened to shed light on this explosion.
