When a small plane crashed in the municipality of Sölden, two inmates were seriously injured on Sunday. Corresponding reports were confirmed to the APA by the police. There was still no information on the cause of the crash, nor was there any information on the identity of the victims. They were admitted to the hospitals in Innsbruck and Zams.
The crash site is in the Ramolhaus area at around 3,000 meters above sea level. The French authorities had informed Austro Control in Vienna after a crash sensor on a small aircraft had sent an emergency signal to France around noon. During the subsequent reconnaissance flight of the police helicopter in Tyrol, the crashed aircraft wreck was discovered and the seriously injured were rescued.
