Two street men were arrested on suspicion of spraying tear gas at a synagogue in Yavne

The Yavne police officers started an investigation today (Monday) at noon upon receiving a report about two unknown persons who sprayed pepper spray in a synagogue in the city.

The police located and detained for questioning the two suspects, known street vendors in the city who allegedly asked to enter the synagogue and when they were refused, sprayed pepper spray and fled the scene.

The police intend to bring them tomorrow at the end of the holiday for a hearing at the Rishon LeZion court with a request to extend their detention and send them for a professional diagnosis, in accordance with the needs of the investigation.
