According to the investigation, they identified a white vehicle with Edomex license plates that was used by the alleged suspects. Therefore, through video surveillance cameras they followed the route taken by said vehicle.
Results of the surveillance, on Thursday, August 15, the car was located on Juan N. Álvarez Avenue and its corner with Cerrada Díaz de la Vega Street, in the Campamento 2 de Octubre neighborhood, in the Iztacalco municipality.
The police approached the vehicle’s occupants and requested a preventive search. The officers seized a plastic bag with approximately one kilogram of apparent marijuana, 11 doses of a white powder with the characteristics of cocaine, 10 bags with a substance similar to crystal, cash and two cell phones.

The men, aged 50 and 23, were arrested and, along with the seized items, were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry agent. Both detainees allegedly form part of a criminal group that operates in the centre of Mexico City and is allegedly engaged in the crimes of extortion, protection rackets, drug dealing and robbery.
On the other hand, information was obtained that the 50-year-old man has previous arrests and has two investigation files for crimes against health. While the other detainee has two investigation files for the crimes of robbery and drug dealing.
