A student suspected of stabbing has been arrested in Norway. Two teachers were stabbed, one seriously and the other more lightly, this Thursday in a building of the University of Oslo, Norwegian police announced. The circumstances and causes of this attack are not yet clear at this stage.
Alerted to a possible stabbing attack, the police “took control of the author and two victims”, said the head of operations, Kristian Bjørberg, during a press briefing. ” The relationship [entre eux] seems to be between teachers and a student,” he added.
One of the victims in “critical” condition
Two knives were seized at the scene. According to a medical emergency official, one of the victims is in “critical” condition and has been hospitalized. The other was more lightly injured.
Extremely rare in Norway, the incident occurred within the walls of the Institute of the world of work, attached to the University of Oslo. No other details were provided about the victims and their attacker.
