Two-wheeler sales in India have registered a healthy growth in January 2024. Many major companies reported positive growth in their vehicle sales last month.
This is evidenced by the fact that in January 2024 alone, more than 14.16 lakh units have been sold in the country. The two-wheeler segment has seen a growth of over 26 percent in the number of units sold compared to the same month last year i.e. January 2023. Hero MotoCorp has started the New Year with a bang. Yes, Hero MotoCorp dominates two-wheeler sales domestically in January 2024. The company has registered a growth of around 20.46 percent in year-on-year (YoY) sales. The company has sold 4,20,934 units in January 2024 compared to 3,49,437 units sold in January 2023. That means the company has sold 71,497 more units this January than last January.

For Honda, its Activa scooter is the best selling product. It sold a total of 3,82,512 units last January, compared to 2,78,143 units sold in January 2023, with a growth of 37.52 percent, ranking second in the list.
TVS :
Local automaker TVS posted a YoY growth of 23.91 percent and sold a total of 2,68,233 units in January 2024. In January 2023, TVS had sold 2,16,471 units. This means that the company has sold 51,762 more units this January than last January.

Bajaj Auto:
For Bajaj, Pulsar bikes continue to be the best-selling product in India. Bajaj Auto’s domestic sales in January 2024 will be 1,93,350 units. The company sold a total of 1,42,368 units in the same month last year i.e. January 2023. It has seen a YoY growth of 35.8%.

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki sold a total of 80,511 units in January 2024. While the company sold a total of 66,209 units in January 2023, it has now sold 14,302 more units, recording a year-on-year sales growth of 21.60 percent, ranking fifth in the list.
Royal Enfield:
Royal Enfield has sold a total of 70,556 units in January 2024. It sold 2854 units more than last year’s January sales of only 67,702 units registering a YoY growth of 4.22%.
