Txomin Perurena died this Thursday at the age of 79, a victim of an illness. Cycling legend, he was born in Oiartzun on December 15, 1943. He achieved 156 victories in his professional career, which lasted from 1963 to 1979. He was the banner of the historic KAS team, which dominated cycling in the 70s.
