TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS.- Posts are circulating on TikTok that falsely claim that actor Tyrese Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce in one of the “Fast and Furious” movies, died in a traffic accident.
But it’s false. Tyrese Gibson actually posted content on his social media accounts recently, between February 11 and 13, 2024, days before this verification was published.
“FUNERAL! Tyrese Gibson died at the age of 44 after a traffic accident,” says the description of the entry published in English, which, when translated into Spanish, means: “FUNERAL! Tyrese Gibson died at the age of 44 after a car accident.
The post, viewed more than 564,000 times since January 19, is accompanied by a video and photos of the actor. Users have commented on the entry as if the event were real.

Initially, a keyword search on Google ruled out the death of Tyrese Gibson because it did not return results that certify what we are verifying.
