Tyrolean separates his foot in an accident at work

by time news

In an accident at work in Dickenau (Reutte district) on Saturday, the foot of a 28-year-old was severed. The man was currently working in a woodchipping room, which he filled via a shaft with the help of a bunker filling screw. The 28-year-old is likely to have slipped his left foot through a safety grate above. The police reported that he severed his foot above the ankle.

The recovery was “extremely difficult,” it said. The filling screw had to be turned backwards by the Steeg fire brigade in order to free the injured person. The man was then flown to the Innsbruck clinic by emergency helicopter.
