U-19 World Cup Cricket: India-Dinamani start with victory

India beat South Africa by 45 runs in their first match of the Under-19 (U-19) World Cup.

Batting first, India were bowled out for 232 in 46.5 overs, ending at midnight on Saturday. South Africa then rolled to 187 in 45.4 overs.

Captain Yash Dhul top-scored for India with 82 runs, including 11 fours. Matthew Post took 3 wickets in South African bowling. Then in the South African innings, DeWalt Previs hit 65 with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Vicky Astwal became the undisputed captain of Indian bowling, taking 5 wickets.

United Arab Emirates beat Zimbabwe, Ireland: In other matches played on Saturday, UAE beat Canada by 49 runs, Uganda by 39 runs and Zimbabwe by 228 runs against Papua New Guinea.
