West Virginia Swimming & Diving Team Set to Compete at 2025 U.S. Open Championships
A strong contingent of West Virginia University swimmers and divers will be heading to Austin, Texas, this December to compete at the prestigious Toyota U.S. Open Championships. Nine Mountaineers will represent the university at the event, held at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center from December 4th to 6th.
Mountaineer Representation in Austin
The West Virginia team boasts a diverse roster of athletes preparing for the competition. Representing the Mountaineers will be Sofia Deste, Dear Ghil, Victoria Kidney, Macey Larson, Szymon Mieczkowski, Rafael Mimoso, Erik Petruzzi, Cas Verstegen, and Natasha Whittall. These athletes will participate in a variety of events throughout the three-day championship.
Championship Schedule and Broadcast Details
The U.S. Open Championships will follow a two-session format each day. Preliminary heats are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. local time, with championship finals commencing at 7 p.m. each evening.
