U.S. Salernitana 1919 Secures Striker Ernesto Torregrossa with Contract Until 2025

by time news

U.S. Salernitana 1919 announces that it has reached an agreement with the striker born in ’92, Ernesto Torregrossa. The player has signed a contract until June 30, 2025. He is a left-footed center forward, physically strong, with good speed, capable of moving across the entire attacking front, and very strong in aerial play. He can also play as a second striker thanks to his technical skills and excellent vision, adapting to any attacking partner. With the Bersagliera, he will try to reach a total of 100 professional career goals: he currently stands at 90, of which 58 are in Serie B. Before his experience at Pisa, from which he comes, he has worn the jerseys of Verona, Siracusa, Monza, Como, Lumezzane, Crotone, Trapani, Brescia (twice scoring in double figures during the 2017/19 period), and Sampdoria.

National Team Experiences

Thanks to his origins, Torregrossa was able to choose to represent three different countries at the international level: Italy (his country of birth), Venezuela (the country where his father was born and raised), and Argentina (the birthplace of his mother). On November 15, 2022, he made his debut with the “Vinotinto” in the match against Panama, scoring the equalizer 2-2 in stoppage time. Five days later, he repeated this feat, being fielded as a starter for the first time and scoring again in the victorious friendly against Syria (2-1). With over 200 appearances in his career in the second tier, he represents a profile of absolute reliability and is ready to dive into the adventure in granata.
