Borussia Dortmund is facing the loss of its successful U19 coach Mike Tullberg. According to information from “Ruhr Nachrichten”, the 39-year-old is currently negotiating with Norwegian first division club Brann Bergen about an immediate start as head coach. The runner-up will begin their preparation for the season in the middle of the month.
Tullberg led the BVB youth team to the German championship in 2022, and he became champion in the A-Junior Bundesliga West in all four seasons of his U19 tenure. He worked with, among others, Youssoufa Moukoko and Jamie Gittens, who were promoted to the professional squad.
According to the report, the Dane now has a contract ready to sign and he was spotted by the Norwegian media visiting the stadium in Bergen. Tullberg is expected to be missing from the BVB U19 preseason start on Monday.
