A concert film was made from those shows, directed by the band’s guitarist, The Edge, who jokes: “After so many years, I finally managed to see a U2 concert”. The peculiarity of this version of the film is the format Big Sky, developed specifically for the Sphere screen, which boasts nearly 15,000 square meters of display space.

“To offer spectators a faithful concert experience” is the declared goal of The Edge and his wife, the choreographer and dancer Morleigh Steinberg (already behind the camera for the video of Staring at the Sun). The pair assures that the result was a true collaboration between the band, the artists, the producers and the technological team.

“V-U2: An Immersive Concert Film at Sphere Las Vegas” is currently only visible at the Sphere, with tickets starting at 100 dollars. The first screening date is set for September 3. In the future, it is likely that the concert film will be released in other formats, but there is no official news about this yet.
