The National Disaster Management Committee made a relief announcement for many people including the Malayalis. Fifty percent relaxation in various fines has been announced during the covid period. Officials have clarified that the decision will come into effect from today Wednesday and applications for fine exemption can be made through the official website of the Department of Interior and the official website of the police of various emirates.

In the past, the UAE imposed a fine of up to 50,000 dirhams on those who violate the Covid-19 laws. The fine was 3000 dirhams for not wearing a mask and 50,000 dirhams for patients who did not seek proper treatment in the hospital. Fines were imposed on those who did not follow social distancing and organized various events in violation of regulations.
