Golden visa holders in UAE are allowed to sponsor their parents for ten years. Officials also clarified that there is no need to tie up the investment amount to sponsor the parents.
Parents are also allowed to sponsor as part of the golden visa rules that came into effect in October. Apart from taking away the investment money, the condition of having a fixed salary to sponsor the parents has also been waived. The cost of sponsoring parents is between AED 2800 and AED 3800.

Parents must produce a certificate from the consulate that they are sole guardians. They were able to sponsor their parents for one year, just like regular residency visa holders. Moreover, there was a requirement that their monthly salary should be at least 20,000 dirhams. However, none of these salary provisions will be applicable to Golden Visa holders.
