The UAE has called attention to the Gaza crisis, stating that it has evolved into a global media war. Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi made the declaration at the Arab Strategy Forum in Dubai on Wednesday.
Al Gergawi emphasized that while the Gaza war is undeniably a humanitarian tragedy, it is also turning into a global media conflict. He highlighted the presence of a global diplomatic war and international polarization, not limited to just Palestine and Israel.
According to the Minister, the true battleground of this conflict is in the media. “Because those with the strongest narratives are winning,” he said.
In a related development, Dr. Ghassan Salam, another speaker at the ceremony, warned that the Israel-Hamas war is taking on a new direction and there is a possibility of it spreading to other countries in the region.
