/ The UAE national team defeated the Hong Kong national team, on Sunday evening, in the Asian Football Championship competitions taking place in the Qatari capital, Doha.
The match took place at 5:30 pm at Khalifa International Stadium, and ended in favor of the Emirates with a score of 3-1.
The first half ended with the UAE team leading by one goal to none, from a penalty kick successfully executed by Sultan Al-Amiri in the 34th minute.
In the second half, Hong Kong scored the equaliser in the 49th minute through Philip Chen, and the UAE team managed to score the lead goal in the 52nd minute through Zayed Sultan Jassim. The UAE’s Yahya Al Ghassani also managed to score a third goal from a penalty kick in the 90+5th minute.
The Palestine and Iran national teams will conclude today’s matches at 8:30 pm at Education City Stadium.
