UAE Golden Visa Extends to More Names The list has been expanded to include four new categories under the Golden Visa scheme. A 10-year long-term visa is offered to industrial and educational experts, religious scholars, researchers, senior scholars, scientists and health experts. The procedures for this will start soon. Golden Visa Terms for Scientists and Researchers:
Must have master’s degree or PhD degree in Engineering, Technology, Life Sciences or Natural Sciences. A PhD from one of the world’s top 500 universities or a master’s degree from one of the world’s top 250 universities. OR Master’s degree or PhD from one of the top 100 universities specializing in the field of study.
Senior scholars: Letter of recommendation from the Ministry of Culture and Youth or a competent local authority will be considered.
Industrial sector:
Letter of recommendation from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology or a competent local authority.
Health Sector: Letter of recommendation from Ministry of Health or Abu Dhabi Department of Health.
License to work in UAE will also be considered.
Education Sector: Letter of recommendation from Ministry of Education or Abu Dhabi Department of Education.
License to operate in UAE.
Professionals:
Must be employed in UAE. The occupational classification of the Ministry of Manpower Naturalization should be produced along with the employment contract. Attested Graduation Certificate, Visa, Passport and Emirates ID. Salary certificate (minimum of 30000 dirham), is to be produced.

Applications can be submitted through the Abu Dhabi Residence Office or through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security website.
Earlier, the UAE had decided to grant golden visas to school and college students who have excelled in their studies and their families. This scheme aims to recognize the achievements of the bright students and create a better environment for them. The application for the 10-year Golden Visa should be made through the Emirates Schools Establishment. Students of public and private schools who have scored above 95% marks in high school examination can apply.
