The UAE Ministry of Finance has announced that tax residency regulations have come into force in the UAE from yesterday. Last year, the cabinet took a decision to issue tax residency documents that prove that they are paying taxes in the UAE to those who live in the country and are legally resident.
Tax residency documents can help businesses in countries that have signed a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement with the UAE to get tax relief. According to the laws of different countries, this document can be obtained for those who stay in the UAE for 90 days and those who stay for 183 days.
