UCV Draw 0-0 with Inter de Barinas in Clausura Tournament
The Olímpico stadium in Caracas witnessed a stalemate between Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV) and Inter de Barinas in their third match of the Clausura Tournament. Despite having a plethora of attacking options, UCV could not find the net, while Inter de Barinas secured their first point in the capital after two consecutive losses.
The home team struggled to convert their dominance into goals, despite creating numerous scoring opportunities. Coach Daniel Saso’s men failed to capitalize on their chances, despite having a large number of attackers at their disposal.
Inter de Barinas, on the other hand, displayed admirable defensive resilience, anchored by the reliable Luis Curiel. Their solid defense proved enough to earn them their first point in the tournament.
While UCV managed to draw 0-0 in the 90 minutes, they comfortably secured victory in the Copa Rey de Marcas, scoring 10 goals. Inter de Barinas, on the other hand, had scored 9 goals until Pedro Ramírez’s missed penalty against goalkeeper Juan Reyes.
