Salem: The shooting of Mamannan, starring actor Udayanidhi, took place on major roads in Salem, resulting in traffic jams and inconvenience to motorists.
MLA and actor Udhayanidhi, actress Keerthy Suresh, actor Vadivelu and others are acting in the film Mamannan under the direction of director Mariselvaraj. The shooting is going on in Salem metropolitan areas. An election campaign scene featuring Udayanidhi and Vadivelu was filmed.
For this, the actors went in jeeps and the bikers followed with black and white flags. Filming was done in Alaghapuram, MG, Saali, Astampatti etc. People standing on the roadside cheered for Vadivelu. The film crew stopped those who tried to film the scene on mobile phones. Traffic was affected due to the congested road.
Also, motorists were inconvenienced due to the filming which took place on major roads of the city, including Four Road and Meiyanur Main Road. Motorists alleged that there was no change in traffic.
