Chennai: DMK’s youth wing leader and Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son Udayanidhi Stalin will soon join the cabinet. With the reshuffle of the Tamil Nadu cabinet on December 14, Udayanidhi will also become a member of the council.
Udayanidhi, an MLA from the Chepok-Tiruvallikeni constituency, is currently the youth wing leader of the party. It is indicated that he will be given the departments of Youth Welfare, Sports Development and Special Program Implementation Department. If the youth and the next generation of voters are to be brought to Udayanidhi, the party leadership thinks that he should be given a field where he can perform well. That is why these categories have been selected for Udayanidhi.

Shiva V. who is also the Minister of Environment and Climate Change. Meyyanathan currently handles the youth welfare and sports development departments. Special Program Implementation Department is directly managed by Stalin. Reorganization of some ministerial departments will also take place on that day.

Udayanidhi has been the leader of DMK’s youth wing since 2019. Stalin also held this post from 1982 to 2017. Udayanidhi was elected as MLA for the first time in 2021. But while neither Udayanidhi nor Stalin have confirmed their entry into the cabinet, the party’s high-powered committee has already taken a decision.
At the same time, AIADMK leaders came forward to criticize the news of Udayanidhi becoming the Minister of Development. EPS criticized DMK as a corporate company and Stalin would soon make Udayanidhi a minister. Palaniswami said DMK leaders have no family of their own and will work tirelessly till their last breath for the people of Tamil Nadu.
