Serbia will play its upcoming UEFA Nations League match against Germany on November 13 without home adult supporters after a disciplinary sanction from UEFA. European football authorities ordered the fixture behind closed doors while issuing a combined 129,500-euro fine across multiple matches involving fan misconduct and political messaging.
UEFA Disciplinary Penalties and Fines Imposed on the Football Association of Serbia
European football’s governing body handed down the penalties following an aggregated disciplinary proceeding covering Serbia’s home matches against Greece on September 24 and the Netherlands on September 27, alongside an away fixture in Eindhoven on October 4. The governing body imposed total financial penalties of 129,500 euros on the Football Association of Serbia.
The largest portion of the financial penalty stems from the September matches in Belgrade. The governing body penalized the national association for racist and discriminatory supporter behavior during those fixtures.

According to the Football Association of Serbia, “Due to the racist and discriminatory behavior of the supporters, the FA of Serbia has been fined 50,000 euros and one match played behind closed doors on home turf. Additional fines were issued in the amounts of 22,500 euros for transmitting messages inappropriate for a sports event, 2,000 euros for the use of pyrotechnics, and 15,000 euros for pitch invasion. The total financial fine for these two matches amounts to 89,” according to Mondo.
Additional sanctions followed the away match against the Netherlands in Eindhoven on October 4. Officials levied a 20,000-euro fine and banned the association from selling tickets to its supporters for the next away fixture, alongside another 20,000-euro penalty attributed to a political message displayed during the game.
Match Adjustments and Ticket Options for Supporters Against Germany
The stadium gates at the Rajko Mitić Stadium will not be entirely empty on November 13. While adult home fans are barred under the disciplinary ruling, exceptions permit the attendance of children and approximately 2,000 traveling supporters from Germany. The fixture carries immense significance for the national team, which currently sits at the bottom of its group in League A after suffering four defeats in the initial rounds of the competition. Head coach Veljko Paunović will also be suspended from the sideline for the contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 20:45, serving as the fifth round of the group stage before the team travels to complete its group schedule against Greece three days later on November 16.
Supporters who already purchased tickets for the high-stakes Nations League fixture face disruptions as the national team fights to avoid finishing at the bottom of its group. The national association <a href="https://www.danas.

- A direct refund of the purchase price.
- Using the purchased ticket for free admission to all home matches during Serbia’s qualifying campaign for the 2028 European Championship.
Officials stated that ticket holders will be contacted directly with specific instructions regarding refund procedures and the organization of the youth delegations permitted to attend.
Wider Disciplinary Actions Across Regional Football Associations
The same disciplinary updates from European football authorities also addressed infractions by other regional federations. The Football Federation of Kosovo received a total fine of 35,000 euros stemming from supporter conduct during matches against Austria in the current Nations League cycle.
Following the announcements, the Serbian governing association issued a public appeal urging supporters to maintain orderly conduct during international fixtures. The association warned that discrimination, political messaging, pyrotechnics, and unauthorized pitch incursions carry direct consequences that damage the national team’s competitive standing.
