UEFA compensates Krasnodar € 1.287 million for the European Championship

According to KP-Sport, UEFA will pay Krasnodar € 1.287 million for the participation of the club’s players in Euro 2020. Five footballers from southerners competed in the championship. 32-year-old midfielder Alexey Ionov and 22-year-old goalkeeper Matvey Safonov left the tournament as part of the Russian national team in the group stage. Also 26-year-old midfielder Christoffer Olsson, 29-year-old midfielder Viktor Klasson and 34-year-old striker Markus Berg (moved to Gothenburg), who lost in the Swedish national team in the 1/8 finals to Ukraine.

The publication notes that for the Russians who did not reach 1/8 with the national team, Krasnodar will be compensated for 225 thousand € (per person), and for the Swedes who have gone further for 279 thousand € (per person). FC Sochi will also receive 225 thousand € for the 29-year-old striker Anton Zabolotny (in May he moved to CSKA) representing the national team.

In addition, UEFA awarded the largest payment among Russian clubs to Spartak Moscow – € 1.518 thousand. UEFA also awarded compensation to Lokomotiv Moscow – € 1.125 million for five players, CSKA – € 729 thousand for three players, Dynamo – € 675 thousand for three athletes, Rubin Kazan – € 450 thousand for two players and “Akhmatu” (Grozny) – 225 thousand € for one representative.
