Is Milan on the way to new hands? According to several reports across Europe, it seems very possible that it is. The investment fund, which originates in Bahrain, is conducting advanced negotiations for the purchase of the Rossoneri for an estimated amount of 1.1 billion euros.

At this point, “Elliott”, the American investment company that owns Milan, refuses to comment on the talks about the sale of the club. But despite this, reports say that the deal between them and InvestCorp is on the verge of closing.

However, according to an investigation by the L’Equipe, it seems that the timing of the sale of the club does not come out of nowhere. A French newspaper reports that UEFA is investigating a suspicious connection between the Italian club and the local Lille, when a number of transfers between the parties are being investigated in depth.

In the past, from the French club moved to Milan Rafael Lao and goalkeeper Mike Manian, while Sven Botman and Renato Sanchez are also expected to make a similar move. But it is not just the issue of transfers that worries the UEFA when it comes to the connection between the Rossoneri and Lille, because they claim that Elliott representatives could have influenced the way decisions are made at clubs, with a possible impairment of sportiness.

In any case, it is not clear at this stage whether the UEFA has officially opened the investigation, but it seems that Elliott has already begun steps to prevent it, the main one being the sale of Milan to the infamous “Investcorp”.
