UEFA has sanctioned Club Atlético Osasuna with a fine of 100,000 euros and 5% of the income that it can obtain in the Conference League from the group stage in the event that it disputes it after the tie that will play on the 24th and August 31.

The highest body of European football has communicated this Thursday to the rojillo club the conclusion of the open disciplinary procedure for having resorted to ordinary justice to defend its participation in the 2023-2024 Conference League, for which the Navarrese entity will have to assume economic costs.

In addition, UEFA imposes a one-year sanction on the club without participating in European competitions, a sanction that is in turn suspended for a probationary period of two years. During this period, if the entity does not resort to ordinary justice, the sanction will be without effect.

Therefore, Osasuna will be able to participate in the next edition of the 2023-2024 Conference League and will not suffer any additional sporting sanction if during the next two years it does not go to ordinary justice against UEFA, as is its purpose.

According to the club’s statement, “the entity will abide by the decision of the UEFA Appeals Committee and will not appeal it.”
