Sévérac Volleyball Faces Tough Draw in Ufolep Cup, Issues Open Call for Players

A challenging road lies ahead for Sévérac’s volleyball teams after the Ufolep departmental cup pools were drawn on Tuesday, December 23. Team 1 from Sévérac has been placed in Pool 5, a group considered especially competitive due to the presence of reigning champion Vallon I and league-leading La Primaube.

The draw presents a meaningful hurdle for the local players. According to reports, La Primaube will begin each set with a five-point advantage, reflecting the disparity in competitive levels between the teams. This built-in handicap underscores the difficulty Sévérac will face in advancing.

The competition structure dictates that teams will be ranked following the group stage, with the top eight qualifying for the final table. While Sévérac I prepares for this demanding challenge, the Sévérac II team and the women’s team will not participate in the cup competition this season. A team spokesperson cited staffing concerns as the primary reason for their absence.
