The ecosystem aims to offer smart home features comparable to those provided by Amazon and Google, but without sending sensitive user data to the cloud, according to reporting by Engadget.
Ugreen Unveils HomeAgent AIoT Ecosystem With Local Processing
The core philosophy of the HomeAgent lineup is to keep processing and personal data local rather than dependent on remote servers, ChatGPT, Claude, or manufacturer cloud services, as noted by Mighty Gadget. By running AI models entirely on-device, the system seeks to address consumer concerns regarding increasing subscription prices and cloud-based AI privacy risks.
HomeAgent Hub Specifications and Pricing
At the center of the ecosystem are local AI-powered smart home hubs that double as NAS drives. Ugreen offers multiple versions of these hubs with varying performance tiers and price points:
- HomeAgent HA100: The entry-level model runs on a Rockchip RK3588 platform with 16GB of LPDDR5 memory, 26 TOPS of AI performance, and three drive bays.
