Russian-backed forces have made tactical advances over the past three days towards the center of Bakhmut in Ukraine, Britain announced today. It was also said that Bakhmut is a strategically important town in the eastern Donetsk region, and the forces apparently advanced to the villages south of the city.
According to the words of the British Ministry of Defense in an intelligence bulletin, the private military company Wagner Group “probably remains” involved in the fighting. Regarding the Donbas region in Ukraine, the ministry said that Russia continues offensive operations in the central part of the country and is progressing “very slowly”.
