BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s personal physician Professor AZM Zahid Hossain said, “We are working on preparations for the long journey to take Madam abroad. The Medical Board said it would take 8 to 13 hours if taken in the UK. Or it will take 18 to 21 hours to pick up in the United States. His physical fitness is very important for this journey.
He said, we have been in contact with hospitals in the United Kingdom and the United States. Madam’s medical board has already been contacted. Taking him abroad will be considered as soon as possible if he is fit enough to fly.
On Thursday (September 5) Dr. Khaleda asked about Zia’s health. AZM Zahid Hossain gave this information.
Incidentally, Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various complex diseases including liver cirrhosis, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and kidney for a long time. He returned to Feroza on August 21 as per the decision of the medical board after receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital for about one and a half months.
