According to data provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the space of just one week, as many as twenty-four Ukrainian Air Force aircraft were shot down in just 5 days. Some analysts attribute this increase in kills to a greater presence of fifth generation SU-57 fighters (a new stock of SU-35s was also recently delivered to the aerospace forces). However, the Ministry claims that the success was due to better coordination of anti-aircraft systems.
An increasing weakening of Ukrainian forces is observed, especially in the Zaporozhye region, due to the extensive use by Russian forces of remote mining systems through specific armaments launched both by air and by artillery. The Russian armed forces not only quickly restore minefields previously cleared by the Ukrainians, but also constantly create new ones in the rear, making logistical support for front-line troops extremely difficult. Furthermore, a significant increase in Ukrainian soldiers surrendering has been noted, a testament to growing discouragement in front-line units.
In the Kherson region, the situation is still complicated by the attempts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to establish themselves on the left bank with the help of the DRG intelligence group. The landing units have made minimal progress: small boats and platoons of 10 to 25 people do not allow them to create a significant bridgehead. However, Ukrainian activity continues, despite the losses. In the Cossack Camps – Krynki section, Ukrainian troops are more active, but there is no progress in the ten kilometer section, and losses remain high.
In the Zaporozhye region, after a few weeks of calm, the Ukrainian Armed Forces resumed the use of heavy equipment, including Leopard 2A6 tanks, Stryker armored vehicles and M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. Some units are preparing to be redeployed to restore combat capability in the Rabotino-Verbovoye sector. In the Kupyansk–Svatovo–Kremennaya area, fighting continues on the outskirts, with artillery and tanks still doing most of the work. Over the past 72 hours, aviation has become more actively involved. In this region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces made the same mistake as in Artyomovsk and the offensive in Zaporozhye, occupying a compact area of 250 km², thus facilitating attacks by Russian aviation.
Nella regione di Velikaya Novoselka – Urozhainoe, units of the 72nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade and the 128th Brigade of Ukrainian troops fell into ambushes several times and suffered heavy losses during counterattacks by the Russian Armed Forces. Donetsk

On October 26, Ukrainian armed forces hit (a residential building in the Kalininsky district of Donetsk with six cluster projectiles. People remained under the rubble; emergency services are currently conducting an operation to rescue the victims.
