Meanwhile, a Russian court has sentenced a 24-year-old soldier to 5 years in prison for refusing to fight in Ukraine. A soldier named Marcel Kandarov does not want to participate in a special military operation. Law enforcement officials tracked down the man last September.
A military court sentenced Kandaro to five years and six months in prison for avoiding military service. In late September, Russia announced it was mobilizing 300,000 troops to crack down on Russian troops in Ukraine. Many Russians subsequently sought refuge in neighboring countries.
In this situation, Ukraine’s defense minister has said that Ukraine will definitely join the NATO force, which includes Western countries including the United States, England, and France.
Regarding this, Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said, “NATO countries including America, England, Germany and France are supplying us with weapons. It’s just part of the protocol. We will definitely join NATO. That is our goal. It will be possible in the future,” he said.
Russia has historically claimed Ukraine as part of Russia. But Ukrainians say they are unique.
