MADRID, 12 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksii Danilov, acknowledged this Friday that the Kiev authorities trust the expulsion of Russian troops before the end of the year thanks to the success of the Ukrainian counteroffensives.

“In the face of winter, we want to completely end the war,” Danilov said in response to whether the Ukrainian counteroffensive could be more successful in the spring and summer months than in winter, according to the UNIAN news agency.

Thus, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council has stressed that the Ukrainian authorities are not concerned about the duration of the counter-offensives and that “they will fight for as long as it takes.”

Finally, Danilov has stressed once again that there is no specific date for the start of the Ukrainian counteroffensive, which could start “in a few days, weeks or months”, and has asserted that it will begin “at the right time to the Armed Forces”.

In this way, one of the highest representatives of the Ukrainian National Security has denied that kyiv has already started a large-scale operation to expel Russian troops from Ukrainian territory.

However, the leader of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has repeated throughout this week that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already started the much talked about counteroffensive in the city of Bakhmut.
