Naveen, an Indian student who was trying to get to the railway station, was trapped and killed in a bomb blast in Kharkiv during the war between Ukraine and Russia. The Indians in Ukraine were shocked to hear this news. Meanwhile, Russian forces have intensified their offensive in Ukraine. In particular, the Russian army is carrying out heavy attacks in the cities of Kiev and Kharkiv.

In this context, the Government of India has stepped up efforts to rescue Indians stranded in Ukraine. In that sense, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a fourth round of emergency consultations on the safe repatriation of Indians in Ukraine as the war intensifies day by day.

Union Ministers Dr. S. Jaisankar, Pius Goyal and other dignitaries from the Ministry of External Affairs were present at the ongoing consultative meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi.

According to reports, the Prime Minister is considering measures to rescue Indians stranded in the city of Kharkiv and to bring the Indians stranded in Ukraine back to India as soon as possible.

Key announcements on the part of the central government are expected to be made after this consultative meeting.
