Ukraine, Kuleba: “Mariupol a red line in negotiations with Russia”

by time news

Mariupol’s “dire” situation “may be a red line” in the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with Cbsnews, in which he announced “that in recent weeks we have not really had any contact with Russian diplomats at the level of foreign ministries’.

“The only contacts are negotiation teams that include representatives of different institutions and members of Parliament – he explained – they continue their consultations at expert level, but there has been no high-level conversation”.

Kuleba then said he expected “an intensification of heavy fighting in eastern Ukraine” in the coming weeks, with Russia wanting to “end up with Mariupol at any cost”.
