Despite the significant international financial support from which it has benefited since the start of the Russian invasion in 2022, Ukraine has had to go into debt to ensure its security, keep public services afloat, pay civil servants’ salaries and surely it is responsible for displacement of people. Debt relief has been a priority for Kyiv authorities.
