Ukraine orders a hundred armored vehicles from Poland to fight against Russia

The Prime Minister of PolandMateusz Morawiecki, has announced this Saturday that it has received from the Government of Ukraine an order of supply of a hundred armored vehicles for use in the war against Russia. Morawiecki has confirmed that the consignment will consist of 100 units of the armored personnel carrier with KTO Rosomak (‘Wolverine’) wheels that will be costed “with European” and American money handed over to the kyiv Government as aid.

The vehicles will be manufactured in Siemianowice, where the Polish Prime Minister has made the announcement. “Today is a great day for this city, for the Silesian region and for Poland,” he said in statements collected by the official Polish news agency PAP. The Ukrainian order has been signed by Prime Minister Denis Shmihal and was received last Friday.

“It is important that we realize that arms production in Poland is picking up pace, which is why we have been able to win these additional contracts,” added the prime minister, who anticipates new orders from Slovenia and perhaps Saudi Arabiato the point that the general production of armored vehicles could double to 200 units per year.
