Kiev:

It will be two years since Russia launched its full-scale military operation against Ukraine. Neighboring Poland has supported Ukraine since the start of the war. Poland, a NATO and EU member state, sheltered refugees from Ukraine and provided arms to Ukraine.

In this case, the problem arose when Polish farmers began to struggle, alleging that imports of grains and other food products from Ukraine were causing their livelihoods to suffer due to lack of adequate prices for their produce. This issue is getting stronger day by day and has exploded in a big way. The day before yesterday, Polish farmers staged a massive protest. They blocked all roads leading to Ukraine and blocked traffic. And some chanted in support of Russian President Putin. The move has angered Ukraine.

Subsequently, Ukrainian President Zelensky invited Polish leaders to discuss the issue of Polish farmers.

Zelensky has said in this regard:-

Farmers of both countries should not insult each other. We must be together. The problems between us must be resolved. A solution is needed not only between Ukraine and Poland but across Europe. It has been decided to hold a consultative meeting at the border to discuss and find a solution to the farmers’ problem.

I hope to have a meeting with the Polish Prime Minister and the EU representative before then, as the two-year anniversary of the war with Russia approaches (February 24). It is a matter of national security.

This is what he said.
