The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky was involved in a car accident in the capital Kyiv – this was announced this morning (Thursday) by the President’s spokesman Serhii Nikiforov. According to him, the president was not seriously injured in the incident.
According to the president’s office, a car hit the presidential vehicle and Zelensky’s convoy while traveling in Kiev. Zelensky was examined by a doctor following the accident, and according to the spokesperson “he was slightly injured, but no serious injuries were found.”
The driver of the offending vehicle was slightly injured, and Zelensky’s medical teams gave him first aid and evacuated him by ambulance to the hospital in Kyiv. The local police said that they would conduct a “thorough investigation” to find out the circumstances of the accident.
