Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine have been “constructive”. This was stated by the head of the Moscow delegation to the Istanbul talks, Vladimir Medinsky, specifying that the outcome will be reported to President Vladimir Putin.
Russia will “radically reduce” military activities outside Kiev and Cernihiv, the Russian deputy defense minister later announced at the end of the talks. The decision was made “to increase mutual trust so that in the next rounds of negotiations a peace agreement can be agreed and signed with Ukraine”.
As for a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zekensky, it will be possible after the green light for the draft peace agreement between the two countries, Medinsky underlined.
