Ukraine-Russia war, Kiev: “85 children killed”. Today new humanitarian corridors

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine have been 85 children killed and over 100 injured. Most of the victims were in the Kiev, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Zhytomyr regions. Meanwhile, they are scheduled for today 14 humanitarian corridors to evacuate civilians from war zones. A new attempt will be made to bring humanitarian aid to the besieged city of Mariupol, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk announced. In the convoy with several tons of aid there are also empty buses with which it is hoped that civilians can be rescued and taken to Zaporizhzhia. Unfortunately, every attempt at a humanitarian corridor with this city has so far failed.

Efforts will be made today to evacuate the inhabitants of the city of Polohy, between Mariupol and Zaporizhzhia, as well as other locations west, north east and north of Kiev, and in the eastern Luhansk region.

Speaking of the latest victims among minors, the press office of the Attorney General announced that on March 11, during an evacuation attempt, the Russians fired on a civilian car killing a child: a young player of the football team Athlete Dmytro. Also on the evening of 11 March, near the town of Husarivka, Kharkiv region, Russian troops fired on a car at a checkpoint, killing a woman and a child. On March 12, a family with a three-year-old child died in a shooting in the Kharkiv region.
